Description

The LW101 is our standard t-shirt with a binded collar and standard proportions. Milled from North Carolina cotton, the yarn is knit into a dry, midweight six-ounce tubular jersey that yields a crisp hand and breaks in after many washes.

Oak gall is a tannin-rich substance that, when combined with iron, oxidizes in a dye bath, yielding nuanced and textured hues. This pre-industrial technique was important to the development of garment dyeing practices. Hand-dyed by multidisciplinary artist Noah Schneiderman.

Materials

Produced on circular knitting machines for no side seams, our signature, standard six-ounce tubular jersey begins with a crisp hand that softens after many washes. The weight is ideal for layering or standalone wear.

This garment is pigment dyed, which produces variations in tone, depth, and hue. The dye sits closer to the surface of the textile than garment-dyed clothing. We recommend washing this garment alone before wear. For best results, wash inside out in cold water and lay flat to dry. Hung on a drying rack is also preferred. Garment is suitable for a low tumble dry.

Fit & Sizing

Our take on a classic silhouette with a slightly wide chest and shorter body. Shoulders hit just below the high point. Binded collar sits slightly lower than a standard neckline. Size up for a looser fit through the shoulder and arm.

Jacob is 5'10" and 120 lbs. He wears a medium in the LW612 Mini Crewneck and a small in the LW1100B Belted Jersey Trouser.
